The distillery's ex-bourbon barrels are sent across the Atlantic where they’re used to age peated whiskey, then emptied and returned to the distillery where they are filled up again with straight rye whiskey. There’s nothing sinister about it, it’s just how the world works. A bit of smoke, a bit of spice. Good enough to seal the deal.
The whiskey is aged a minimum of three years, and contains 95% Rye and 5% Malted Barley. Silver Medal at the 2021 International Spirits Challenge.
